Whether you painted for years and drifted away, or you have always wanted to start, an art subscription box for adults removes the two biggest obstacles: deciding what to make and gathering the supplies. Art Club Monthly’s Teens & Adults Box handles both, and it is built around something most kits skip: the great masterpieces of art history.
How It Works
Each month we choose one iconic painting. Your box arrives with professional supplies matched to that painting’s palette and techniques, a pamphlet that goes deep on the artist and the movement, and an open ended creative prompt. You are not asked to copy the masterpiece, and there is no step by step tutorial. The goal is to find your own voice, informed by the artists who changed the world.
What’s Inside the Teens & Adults Box
- 8×10″ stretched canvas
- Professional oil paints matched to the month’s artwork
- 3 quality brushes selected for the month’s techniques
- A specialty medium, such as impasto medium for thick, textured strokes
- An art history pamphlet with real context on the artist, the painting and its era

The box is $49 per month with free US shipping, and you can cancel anytime. New members get 50% off the first box.
Why Masterpiece Inspired Prompts Work for Adults
Blank canvas paralysis is real. A prompt rooted in a masterwork gives you a starting point, a set of ideas to respond to and a reason to try techniques you might never pick on your own: Dalí’s dreamlike surrealism, Klimt’s decorative patterning and gold leaf, Seurat’s optical color mixing. You learn by making, and every finished piece is something only you could have painted.
Who It’s For

- Returning painters looking for a monthly nudge back to the easel
- Art history lovers who want to understand paintings by working with their ideas
- Teens 13+ ready for professional materials
- Gift givers looking for something more meaningful than another candle
